Community Health Center of Central Missouri is seeking experienced Pediatric LPNs/RNs  to join our ever-growing family. Full-time opportunities available to work in Community Health setting with compassionate/caring providers, in Pediatrics. Ideal candidate would have a minimum of 2 years experience working in a healthcare setting with Pediatric patients.

(no weekend, no major holidays, and no on-call for these positions).

Performs a variety of duties to provide and coordinate medical care to CHCCMO pediatric patients.  Participates with the Medical Director in establishing clinical protocols, participating in peer review, and monitoring and assuring quality.  Specific goals;  insures compliance with all operating policies and procedures and Missouri Department of Health regulations and Federal Health Care Administration regulations; communicates with and supervises  personnel; provides daily reports and other periodic reports as required. Performs all the duties of medical provider when required and is expected to respond to medical emergencies that take place at CHCCMO sites and other locations when working for or representing CHCCMO.

Performs those duties which assist the dental director, dentists, and hygienists in the care and treatment of patients. Performs duties in the field of reception, chairside assisting, sterilization, inventory and records.

Community Health Workers (CHWs) will closely with medical providers, primary care teams and other agencies to improve patient care and outcomes. CHWs help to identify barriers to care and work to address and remove these barriers, when possible. Will assist patients with the eligibility for services and community resources they may be eligible for.

Performs a variety of duties to provide and coordinate quality nursing care to Community Health Center clients. Responsible for obtaining vital signs, reviewing medications, investigating chief complaints as patients check in for appointments. Also performs procedures such as EKG’s, PFT’s, blood glucoses measurements, phlebotomies, immunizations and other procedures as ordered by the provider. Is also responsible for quality measures such as glucometer controls, room checks, etc. Responsible for accurately entering information including vital signs, patient medications, and patient communication into the electronic medical records. Handles nurse triage phone calls as needed. Responsible for ensuring referral process is properly completed and that labs and test results are communicated to patients under provider direction. Assist with training of nursing staff and nurse lead responsibilities as directed.

Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and Chief Clinical Officer, the Registered Dietitian/Patient Educator will serve as a nutrition expert and wellness advocate for patients. They will be responsible for consulting with health care workers about the particular needs of their patients, provide individualized patient assessments of current eating patterns and dietary history, offer nutritional implications for specific medical conditions and nutritional needs, analyze food content and composition, develop specialized diets, and ensure that proper safety regulations are being addressed. Prepare budgets and offer suggestions for the purchase of food and service equipment and write grants request for research programs as directed.
